About

Hi, I'm Kimberly Nava

I'm an architect, trained at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Universidad del Zulia, and I run K & Winkel Studio.

I have designed interiors for restaurants, shops and homes, created shopfronts, and drawn plans and renderings for clients in several countries. What I care about most is that a space works in everyday life and is built with good judgement, including more sustainable materials.

Today I work fully online. We meet on a video call, you send me photos and measurements, and you receive everything digitally: the concept, the plans and the images. You can talk to me in English or Spanish.

Projects in Venezuela, the United States, Spain, Germany and Chile.

The name

Why Winkel?

Winkel is a German word for a corner or nook. I chose it because so many projects start right there: a line on a napkin, a detail nobody looked at twice, a small corner. A good space does not depend on the size of the plan, but on how you look at it.

And the mouse in the logo is called Winkel too. He is our little studio companion.

“Every great project starts with a small idea.”

Services

What I do for your project

Three areas you can book together or on their own. Everything is delivered digitally, ready to share with your builders.

01

Interior and spatial design

For when you have a space and don't know where to start. I sort out the layout, choose materials, furniture and lighting, and give you a clear concept you can follow step by step.

  • Design concept and space planning
  • Furniture, fixtures and equipment selection (FF&E)
  • Lighting concept and fixture layouts
02

Drafting and details

So your carpenter, electrician or builder knows exactly what to do. 2D plans with clear measurements and notes, leaving no room for guesswork on site.

  • Architectural and technical 2D drafting
  • Millwork and joinery details
  • Coordination drawings for builders and workshops
03

3D visualization

So you can decide with confidence before spending on construction. You see materials, light and proportions as if they were already there, inside and out, shopfronts included.

  • Photorealistic interior and exterior renderings
  • 3D architectural modeling
  • 360° virtual tours
360° virtual tour

Walk through your space before it's built

A 360° virtual tour lets you step into the project from your phone, tablet or a VR headset. Look up, turn around, walk over to the window. It makes a space easy to understand even when plans don't tell you much, and you can share it with family, partners or buyers.

  • Opens in the browser, nothing to install
  • Very useful for developers and retail spaces
  • Works together with renderings and plans

Process

How we work together

Four clear steps. At each one you know what you get and what comes next.

  1. The crumb

    Briefing

A video call to get to know your space, your ideas and your budget. You send me photos and measurements.

You get a written summary and a work proposal.

  2. The idea

    Concept and planning

I develop the layout, the material palette and the lighting.

You get the concept with floor plan, references and a furniture list.

  3. The plans

    Documentation

I draw the technical plans and the millwork details.

You get 2D plans ready for your builders.

  4. The space

    Visualization and handover

I create renderings or a 360° tour so you can see the final result.

You get high resolution images and all project files.

Tools

I draft in AutoCAD, model in SketchUp and Blender, and render with D5 Render and Lumion. These are industry standard programs, so my files fit right in with those of your builder or workshop.

FAQ

What people usually ask me

Another question? Write to me and I'll answer personally.

What services do you offer?

Interior design, 2D technical drawings with millwork details, and 3D visualization: photorealistic renderings and 360° virtual tours. You can book a single service or the whole process.

Do you work with clients in any country?

Yes. I only work online, so your project can be in any city. We meet by video call and you send me photos, measurements or existing plans. If you have no plans, I will walk you through taking the measurements step by step.

Which languages can I use for the consultation?

English and Spanish. Plans and documents can be delivered in either language as well.

How does a 360° virtual tour work?

You get a link that opens on your phone, tablet or computer. From there you turn the view and move from room to room as if you were standing inside. A VR headset makes it feel even more real, but you do not need one.

How much does a project cost?

Every quote depends on the size and scope of the project. After our first conversation you get a clear proposal that says what is included and what is not.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the size and the services you need. A single rendering is quicker than a full project with plans. The proposal shows the dates for each stage.
